"Often when you think you're at the end of something, you're at the beginning of something else" - Mr. Fred Rogers
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Jane Goodall
Introducing Joey Wölffer Reworked. JW Reworked is a collection of one-of-a-kind re-imagined womenswear. The line applies the distinctive artistry for which Joey Wölffer is known to the environmentally-conscious practice of up-cycling. At this moment in time, we at Joey Wölffer believe that repurposing materials is of utmost importance, in the fashion industry and in the world. Up-cycling allows us to engage in sustainability, promote creativity and stimulate the economy by maintaining relationships with our valued manufacturers, both big and small. JW Reworked combines up-cycled excess inventory with textiles collected by Joey in her travels around the world. The results are current, carefully-designed tops, vests, jackets, and more.
Favorite pieces from the collection include:
Kimono-style jackets from collected textiles — including scarves from Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar and vibrant fabric sourced from Mali — and up-cycled remainders of high-quality denim and cotton twill trousers.
Feminine button-up blouses born of 100% up-cycled patchwork sari fabric made in Nepal by artisans vulnerable to human trafficking.
Ruffled-sleeved vests that marry denim shirts sourced from the Marché aux Puces of Paris with beguiling fabrics from past JW inventory.
